Why this is
being done.
Most giving happens at a distance. You give to something worthwhile and then you hear nothing back. You never find out whether the money arrived, what it paid for, or whether it made any difference.
Butterfly Foundation works the other way round. Someone brings forward a cause they know and can describe. The money goes exactly there. When the need is met, the cause is closed and everyone is told exactly where the money went.

stake.
Giving usually asks you to trust something you cannot see. Here that trust is built in.
Every cause is checked by someone other than the person who brought it forward, and money is paid directly to whoever is providing the help. Every closed cause is recorded, so there is always a record of what was raised and where it went.
